Title: Prospects for New Physics at the LHC

Abstract: 

The LHC will open up a new region of energy where new physics signals
associated with the breakdown of electroweak symmetry are expected to
appear. The physics capabilities will be discussed with emphasis on the
searches for new phenomena suing primarily examples of studies from the
ATLAS collaboration. Possible measurements of Higgs boson properties will
be discussed. Signatures of supersymmetry and extra dimensions will also
be shown.
